This article presents the structural guidelines of two Memorials in Guiné-Bissau: the Guiledje Memorial, about the "Luta de Libertação", and the Cacheu Memorial, still being constructed, about the cultural heritage of the slave trade of the XVI and XVII centuries in the northern region of Guiné-Bissau. These Memorials, implemented by an Non-Governmental Organization for Development, have the following objectives: preservation and promotion of the cultural heritage; making history and culture accessible to the local populations; creation of economic development in the two affected regions and promote multicultural acquaintanceship in Guiné-Bissau.

Este artigo apresenta as linhas estruturais de dois Memoriais da Guiné-Bissau, o Memorial de Guiledje, dedicado à Luta de Libertação, e o Memorial de Cacheu, ainda em construção, sobre a herança cultural do tráfico negreiro dos séculos XVI e XVII na região norte da Guiné-Bissau. Estes Memoriais, implementados por uma Organização Não-Governamental para o Desenvolvimento guineense foram concebidos com o objetivo de preservar e promover a herança cultural, tornar a história e cultura acessíveis às populações locais, criar desenvolvimento económico nas duas regiões em causa e promover a convivência multicultural.
