O lugar do livro na era digital

Abstract

A realização deste trabalho teve por finalidade identificar o lugar que ocupa o livro, na sua versão impressa, nesta era digital, sobretudo com a emergência do e-book, enquanto versão digital do livro, podendo ser ou não o seu substituto. Para efeitos de pesquisa foram questionados escritores, editores e bibliotecários sobre as suas perspectivas e expectativas sobre o assunto, mas foram também convidados a se colocarem no papel de leitores e tentarem identificar a forma como esses leitores olham para essas mudanças, de que forma estes se estão a adaptar. Foram também abordados os variados desafios que se colocam ao sector do livro e a situação do mesmo em Portugal.

This study had the purpose to identify the place that holds the book, in its printed version, in this digital age, especially with the emergence of the e-book, while the digital version of the book, and may or may not be his replacement. For the purposes of research were questioned writers, editors and librarians about their prospects and expectations on the subject, but were also invited to put themselves in the role of readers and try to identify how these readers look for these changes, how they are adapting. Were also addressed the various challenges facing the book sector and the situation the same in Portugal.
