Lisboa Ginásio Clube: análise da situação global do clube

Abstract

In the past few years, Portugal has been plunged in a deep and serious economic crisis leading to the closure of numerous medium to small enterprises. This process becomes clearer when focused on non-profitable organizations, as it is the case of the institution in study: a sports club, Lisboa Ginásio Clube, with a promising past (almost 100 years of history), a vulnerable present and a rather uncertain future. The main objective of this thesis is to perform a multifactorial study of the mediate and immediate surroundings, the market, the organizational structure, the financial situation, and with that information provide a number of suggestions that may contribute positively to the club’s viability. Optimize the strong points and dismiss the weak ones betting on the profitability of better infrastructures and in the capacity of fulfilling the needs of the largest possible number of individuals from centrality to individuality with sustainability, innovation and ambition.
