Absentismo e insucesso escolar : Estudo de caso TEIP

Abstract

This dissertation, entitled Absenteeism and School Failure - TEIP Case Study, aims to analyze the strategies developed by the Camarate School Group, as a school integrated into the TEIP program, to prevent and reduce absenteeism and school failure, as well as to understand the coordination among the various educational agents involved. The study is framed within a reflection on public policies promoting equity and educational inclusion, considering the TEIP program as a tool for priority intervention in socially disadvantaged contexts. The research follows a qualitative approach, using document analysis and semi-structured interviews with different educational agents: teachers, facilitators, and parents, in order to understand the perceptions, practices, and challenges associated with the implementation of the program's measures. The results show that the Camarate School Group develops multiple intervention strategies focused on cooperation between the school, families, and the community, with projects aimed at inclusion, psychosocial support, and the promotion of educational success standing out. However, significant constraints persist, related to the shortage of resources, the lack of continuity of teams, and the difficulty of involving some families in situations of social and emotional vulnerability.
