Identidades juvenis e dinâmicas de escolaridade

Abstract

Souvent traitées comme des thèmes indépendants, les identités juvéniles et les dynamiques de scolarité se développent en étroite articulation dans les sociétés contemporaines. Cet article se penche sur cette relation complexe, à partir d’une étude de terrain menée dans une école secondaire en mettant l’accent sur l’observation des démarches des jeunes vis-à-vis de l’école. La posture générationnelle de l’"adhésion distanciée" à l’école tend à se multiplier en pratiques et représentations, itinéraires et projets très divergents. L’article aborde les expériences, les réseaux et les structures sociales qui produisent (et confèrent des sens) à ces différentes démarches.

Muchas veces pensadas como temas independientes, las identidades juveniles y las dinámicas de escolaridad se desarrollan en profunda articulación en las sociedades contemporáneas. Esa compleja relación es la que se procura ecuacionar, partiendo de una investigación realizada en una escuela secundaria y que tuvo como eje de observación las disposiciones de los jóvenes frente a la escuela. La postura generacional de "adhesión distanciada" a la escuela tiende a multiplicarse en prácticas y representaciones, trayectos y proyectos muy divergentes. Se discuten las experiencias, redes y estructuras sociales que producen (y dan sentido) a esas diferentes disposiciones.

Muitas vezes pensadas como temas independentes, as identidades juvenis e as dinâmicas de escolaridade desenvolvem-se em profunda articulação nas sociedades contemporâneas. É essa complexa relação que se procura equacionar, a partir de uma pesquisa de terreno realizada numa escola secundária e que teve como foco de observação as disposições dos jovens face à escola. A postura geracional de "adesão distanciada" à escola tende a multiplicar-se em práticas e representações, trajectos e projectos muito divergentes. Discutem-se as experiências, redes e estruturas sociais que produzem (e conferem sentidos) a essas diferentes disposições.

Often seen as separate subjects, youth identities and the dynamics of schooling are profoundly linked in today’s societies. This article seeks to weigh up the complex relationship between them, using field research that took place in a secondary school and was focused on young people’s attitudes towards school. The generational stance of distant participation is tending to multiply itself in the form of some very divergent practises, representations, paths and projects. The author discusses the experiences, networks and social structures that produce (and lend meaning) to these varying stances.
