Abstract

Ao longo dos tempos, o Mundo da Estratégia Empresarial tem estado em constante mutação e desenvolvimento, tendo os gestores de topo de ter a capacidade para se reinventarem constantemente de forma a levar as suas organizações a bom porto, mantendo as suas vantagens competitivas. A presente investigação passa pela análise do processo de Implementação Estratégica das organizações, do papel do gestor neste contexto e da sua influência no sucesso desta mesma Implementação. As características e capacidades dos gestores de topo tornam-se numa das peças chave que as organizações devem ter em consideração, isto pois são eles que garantem que existe uma versatilidade, agilidade e rapidez que permita à organização antecipar e reagir a determinados estímulos da envolvente. No contexto da Implementação Estratégica surgem os mecanismos facilitadores da Implementação Estratégica, mecanismos estes que, como o próprio nome indica, facilitarão a adaptação da organização, como pessoa coletiva, ao processo de Implementação Estratégica. Esta investigação procurou entender quais são os mecanismos facilitadores da Implementação Estratégica mais comummente utilizados pelos gestores de topo sendo que, para isso, foram realizadas 18 entrevistas a gestores de topo da realidade empresarial portuguesa. Através da análise das entrevistas realizadas foi possível entender a preponderância colocada numa comunicação organizacional eficiente, num tipo de liderança estratégica, na forte cultura organizacional, na criação de um planeamento operacional e no desenvolvimento do empowerment. Todos fatores que, na visão da amostra, permitem à organização tornar-se mais unida, focada nos objetivos, ágil, rápida, competente e produtiva naquilo que são as suas movimentações estratégicas.

Throughout time, the world of Business Strategy has been in constant change and development. Top managers must constantly reinvent themselves to lead their organizations to success while maintaining their competitive advantages. This research focuses on analyzing the process of Strategic Implementation in organizations, the role of managers in this context, and their influence on the success of this implementation. The characteristics and abilities of top managers are essential considerations for organizations, as they ensure the organization's adaptability, agility, and speed, enabling it to anticipate and react to external stimuli. In the context of Strategic Implementation, there are mechanisms that facilitate the process, helping the organization adapt collectively. This research sought to understand the most commonly used facilitative mechanisms for Strategic Implementation by top managers. To achieve this, 18 interviews were conducted with top managers from the portuguese business environment. Through the analysis of these interviews, it was evident that effective organizational communication, a specific type of strategic leadership, a strong organizational culture, operational planning, and the development of empowerment were all key factors. In the view of the interviewees, these factors contribute to creating a more united, goal-oriented, agile, quick, competent, and productive organization in its strategic endeavors.
