The company's attitude towards new digital competitors reveals whether it is in a position to remain competitive in the market. The need to be aware of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) technologies, because they have competitive advantages and the flexibility to integrate other external systems, promotes dynamism in the sector. In a more competitive market and with the challenges faced by technologies and processes in the supply chain flow, it is necessary to be attentive to technological innovations, but not only that, activity processes need to have solutions with the dynamism that the current market faces. Many lines of research have been pursued in the areas of intelligent services, how activities are carried out, analytics and Big Data. This study used e-mail surveys to the Portuguese Freight Forwarders Association APAT. 21 responses were obtained. The results found are related to companies' satisfaction with the technologies used for analytical forecasts of their resources in operations planning, as well as the collection of data sets. These were considered important. Another factor found and considered very important was connectivity as a way of improving intra-communication with partners and customers. Big Data technology, on the other hand, was found in this study to be recurrent in the use of stock management. The objectives set for this work have been completed with the results obtained and the conclusion of the importance of the technologies assumed in the logistical framework of the Portuguese sector.
