Abstract

Partindo da realização do primeiro e segundo Fórum Social Português, a pesquisa explora a expressão das acções alterglobalização na sociedade portuguesa. À luz de diferentes correntes teóricas, analisam-se o conceito de movimento social e os recentes contributos sobre as iniciativas alterglobalização. Segue-se o mapeamento das principais acções alterglobalização internacionais e nacionais. Por último, recorrendo à análise de conteúdo por temas, expõem-se os resultados obtidos através das entrevistas realizadas a membros de associações/organizações participantes no primeiro e segundo Fórum Social Português.

Starting from first and second Portuguese Social Forum, the research explores the expression of alterglobalization actions in portuguese society. In the light of different theoretical perspectives, we examine the concept of social movement and the recent contributions to the alterglobalization initiatives. Secondly, we map the key alterglobalization actions in international and national contexts. Finally, using the content analysis, we present the results obtained through in-depth interviews with members of associations/ organizations participating in the first and second Portuguese Social Forum.
