Globalização no ensino superior

Abstract

Globalization in Higher Education encompasses a set of factors discussed by several authors. Due to globalization, several changes occurred over time in the education sector. The goal of this dissertation is to understand the impact of globalization on Higher Education, depending on factors such as university and degree, country of destination, faculty of destination, and motivations. In order to obtain the data, a questionnaire was carried out to higher education students who did an international mobility program (academic or professional internship) in order to understand how the choice impacted on their academic and professional life, and to what extent. In this study, all respondents took an academic mobility program and all were of Portuguese origin. Subsequently, Portugal is also considered as a study destination country for foreign students. With these data, it is intend to answer two research questions: How has globalization influenced higher education, and how has Portugal positioned itself on this subject compared to other countries.
