Bem-estar no trabalho: Um estudo com assistentes sociais

Abstract

O presente estudo pretende analisar alguns factores/variáveis que contribuem para promoção do bemestar no contexto de trabalho dos assistentes sociais. Com base na Psicologia Positiva serão abordadas as bases teóricas que sustentam o Bem-Estar Subjectivo e o Bem-Estar Psicológico. Em sequência, o conceito de Bem-Estar no Trabalho é formulado a partir dos vínculos positivos com o trabalho e com a organização para os quais contribuem as características do indivíduo e do trabalho. Para desenvolver o nosso estudo, dispusemos de uma amostra que consistiu em 116 assistentes sociais em exercício de funções no distrito de Viseu. Os dados foram recolhidos através da aplicação de um questionário individual e anónimo. Os resultados apontam para as características do trabalho Controlo/Autonomia e Suporte Social influenciam positivamente o Bem-Estar no Trabalho e que as Exigências não demonstram uma relação significativa com o Bem-Estar no Trabalho. Em relação às características individuais, observou-se que a Auto-Eficácia determina positiva e significativamente o Bem-Estar no Trabalho. A Satisfação no Trabalho e o Bem-Estar Psicológico influenciam positivamente o Bem-Estar no Trabalho.

This study is aimed at analyzing some factors/variables which contribute to the promotion of Well-Being of social workers at their work environment. Based on Positive Psychology, one will approach the theoretical bases lying beneath both Subjective and Psychological Well-Being. The concept of Well-Being at Work is defined based on the positive connections established with work and with the organization, which are positively influenced by individual characteristics and also by the features of the work itself. To develop this study, we have used a sample of 116 social workers working actually in the County of Viseu. Data were collected through an anonymous individual questionnaire. Results show that characteristics ‘Control/Autonomy’ and ‘Social Support’ positively influence Well- Being at Work and also that the level of demand does not related significantly with this kind of WellPágina 2 Being. The individual characteristics, one could observe that ‘Self-Efficacy’ positively and significantly influence Well-Being at Work. Satisfaction at Work and Psychological Well-being positively influence Well-Being at Work.
