Representações sociais do voto: Comportamentos e atitudes de cidadania e participação eleitoral

Abstract

This research aims, based on the concept of representation of the vote and establishing a relationship between it and the electoral behaviors of individuals as citizens, through the analysis of the discourses and perceptions that they identify in their relationship with the political system and the exercise of the vote, to seek clues to develop an approach of analysis that allows a greater integration of concepts, provisions and reflexivity, in the question to the theme of citizenship behaviors in general and electoral, in particular, considering digital spaces as indicators of change. This work had as methodology the deductive process through the application of a questionnaire survey, disseminated through social networks, given the importance of these for the socialization of the actors, as a space of differentiation, in a new form of social organization. It was concluded that voting, as a mechanism of the democratic system, is represented as unique and indispensable for the intervention of citizens in the change of the political system and its leaders, being identified as a duty/right and an act of citizenship. The lack of confidence in the political system and its representatives characterizes this sample, which, despite the reality, presents a weak willingness to act. It is a schooled sample, which seeks to be informed about political issues, using the different media, presenting differences in gender behaviors. However, it proves to be unintervening.
