Job crafting e bem-estar subjetivo no trabalho

Abstract

This study aims to explore the relationships between task crafting, well-being and performance. For this purpose, four hypotheses were tested, the first hypothesis: Task crafting is positively related to subjective well-being and performance. The second hypothesis, task crafting, is positively related to meaningful work. The third hypothesis: The relationship between task crafting and subjective well-being is mediated by meaningful work; the relationship between task crafting and performance is mediated by meaningful work. The fourth hypothesis, the indirect relationship between task crafting and subjective well-being through meaningful work is conditionally dependent on mindfulness. These hypotheses were tested based on self-reported data, obtaining a sample of 127 participants from the audiovisual sector. The results show that task crafting is positively and significantly related to performance and meaningful work. However, this relationship does not exist for well-being. Significant work on the relationship between task crafting and performance was not significant, but it proved to be a mediator of the relationship between task crafting and wellbeing, with this indirect effect varying according to the different levels of mindfulness. In particular, the indirect effect of the meaning of work on the relationship between task crafting and well-being is significant when mindfulness has high or medium levels. Mediation ceases to be meaningful when mindfulness is low. This study contributes to enrich the literature on the relationship between job crafting and well-being at work and proposes directions for future studies.
