Jogo didático para aprendizagem de literacia financeira

Abstract

The area of financial literacy has been of great interest in recent years mainly due to the crisis that has spread a little throughout the world and with a great impact in Europe between 2007 and 2013. Terms such as inflation, long-term interest, spread and many more are becoming more normal in the vocabulary we use daily. There is a need to teach and subsequently assess the level of people's financial knowledge in a current, interactive and didactic way. Educational games are a way of transmitting knowledge in an interactive way by positioning the player in a virtual environment, created to simulate a real situation and thus teach the player to behave in a given situation. They are structured so that the player learns about a certain theme while having fun. This dissertation seeks to improve the level of financial knowledge existing with the use of new technologies. In this way, it creates a link between the need to teach financial literacy in a demanding financial context and the advantages of transmitting knowledge from a didactic game.
