Abstract

It is quality education when, after the training, it is coated skills that make up, not only academically, but also citizens' roles and professional level. When it does not need to go to the causes. The retention and dropout, as regards the Portuguese National Council of Education, 2003 is a sign that something is wrong, you need to investigate the causes, solve the problem and improve. Although the classroom to be the center of learning, it is however necessary to realize that the quality of education passes by the junction of all efforts, starting from the top management, educational policies, through the school, where the guidelines are realized, to the classroom, where they perform the operations. The qualification and application of the teaching is relevant, in addition to materials, regulations and programs, and a whole complex requirement that require funding, individual and collective responsibilities, in addition to autonomy. The quality is achieved with the commitment, harmony and cohesion of all actors and all stakeholders’ processes.
