Abstract

Aastal 2019 andsid J. Langemets ja G. López-Pérez osalise vastuse G. Godefroy poolt aastal 1989 püstitatud küsimusele, tõestades, et igal separaablil Banachi ruumil, mis sisaldab ruumiga l1 isomorfset alamruumi, leidub ekvivalentne norm, mille suhtes vaadeldava ruumi teine kaasruum on oktaeedriline. Käesolevas bakalaureusetöös kirjutatakse üksikasjaliselt lahti Langemetsa ja López-Pérezi teoreemi tõestuses kasutatud ümbernormeerimisteoreemide ning üldiste oktaeedrilisust puudutavate tulemuste tõestused ning esitatakse Langemetsa ja López-Pérezi teoreemi tõestuse skeem.
