Süüria kodusõda: B. Obama ja V. Putini retoorilised lahendused - vastavus teoreetilistele arusaamadele

Abstract

Bakalaureusetöös analüüsitakse kahe poliitiku retoorikat ning pannakse need vastavusse konfliktilahenduse teooriaga. Teoreetiline käsitlus põhineb Michael Brecheri mudelil, millega on võimalik prognoosida sündmuste arengut ning leida seoseid poliitikute mõtteavaldustega. See annab võimaluse teha järeldusi konflikti vaibumisest või vastupidi – eskaleerumisest. Kahe eriilmelise riigijuhi arvamused on olulised, kuna radikaalsed otsused kummagi poolt võiksid muuta sündmuste kulgu. Eesmärgiks on analüüsida kõnede valguses kahe poliitiku retoorikat ning panna need vastavusse konfliktilahenduse teooriaga. Töö koostamise käigus püütakse teooria toel leida vastused küsimustele, mil määral ning millistes punktides riigipeade rahuotsimiskäsitlused erinevad. Töö valmimine annab vastused küsimustele, kas ja mil määral ning millistes punktides retoorika teooriaga seondub ning on seega aluseks konflikti lahenemise prognooside osas. Töö andis võimaluse leida Brecheri mudelis väikseid puudujääke ning täiendada konfliktilahenduse teooria mudelit, võttes analüüsimisel arvesse põhjalikumat muutujate jaotust. Töös esitatud eeldused leidsid kinnitust – presidentide retoorika ning lahenduskäikude otsingud on erinevad.
