Abstract

Perekond nelk on liigirikas rühm, mille paljud liigid on piiratud levilaga. On näidatud, et suur osa neist on lahknenud evolutsiooniliselt hiljuti ja lühikese aja jooksul, mistõttu oleks nelkide näitel võimalik uurida radiatsiooni, üht evolutsiooni olulist protsessi. Häid meetodeid nende fülogeneesi uurimiseks jaoks pole veel leitud, seega uurib töö, kas nelkide sektsiooni Plumaria sisest geneetilist variatsiooni ja fülogeneetilisi suhteid on võimalik uurida genoomides levinud lühikeste korduvjärjestuste e. mikrosatelliitide abil. 11 nelgi liigis tuvastati 146 alleeli 10-st tuuma lookusest ning leiti, et suur osa varieeruvusest on liikide sees. Peakoordinaatanalüüs ja dendrogrammid näitasid, et liigid ei eristunud üksteisest, v.a D. superbus ja D. plumarius. Seega, antud mikrosatelliitmarkerite abil on nende fülogeneesi raske uurida. Põhjuseid võib olla mitmeid – sektsiooni kunstlik püstitus, kehv geneetiline eristuvus ning perekonna jaoks välja töötatud markerite ebasobivus liikidevahelise fülogeneesi uuringuks
