Adquisición de competencias meta-informacionales en la universidad

Abstract

Esta investigación muestra de qué forma el uso del trabajo colaborativo y las redes sociales en el aula inciden de forma eficaz en la adquisición de competencias meta-informacionales, constituyendo una propuesta de mejora educativa e innovación docente. Desde la contextualización y definición de dichas competencias, se plantea una experiencia de trabajo colaborativo utilizando la red social educativa Edmodo. La evaluación por pares se lleva a cabo siguiendo rúbricas consensuadas con el alumnado que se ajustan a las competencias meta-informacionales descritas, presentando así el uso práctico de las mismas. Los resultados obtenidos a partir de una encuesta muestran cómo los/las estudiantes “aprenden a aprender” cuando se encuentran inmersos en la generación de contenidos (prosumidores) haciendo uso de procesos cognitivos complejos, a la vez que adquieren autonomía y capacidad crítica, destrezas que van a ser fundamentales para la toma de decisiones en su futuro ejercicio profesional. El alumnado valora asimismo de forma positiva el desarrollo de habilidades sociales y el progreso obtenido en el aprendizaje lingüístico. Por parte del docente, para el docente, la propuesta y herramienta descritas favorecen aspectos como la flexibilidad en el manejo del aula.
