Abstract

El elevado nivel de suspensos y de alumnos no presentados a los exámenes de las asignaturas de Física de las titulaciones de la Escuela Politécnica Superior de la Universidad de Alicante, nos indujo, en el curso 2001/02 y 2002/03, a investigar las causas de tales resultados. El presente estudio, realizado a lo largo del curso 2003/2004, es la continuación y la conclusión de dicha investigación. Así mismo se incluyen aquellas conclusiones que ya pueden extraerse de las actuaciones llevadas a cabo en el presente curso 2004/05. Hemos decidido centrarnos en el estudio y análisis de los conocimientos previos de los alumnos que acceden al primer curso. Escogimos la realización de cuestionarios de respuestas múltiples como herramienta de análisis de los conocimientos previos. A partir de los resultados obtenidos, se han insertado temas en los programas de alguna de las asignaturas, y se han realizado cursos de contenidos directamente relacionados con los principios básicos, lo que ha mejorado sensiblemente los resultados del los tests realizados a finales de curso, aún sin llegar, en general, a un nivel medio suficiente. Por otra parte, en alguna de las asignaturas introducimos un sistema de evaluación continua, que ha proporcionado unos resultados satisfactorios.
