Abstract

El estroncio de la fracción soluble de 391 muestras de las series del Mioceno medio de Alicante, presenta correlaciones negativas con la fracción gruesa insoluble de las mismas. Así mismo, la distribución 103Sr/Ca es inversa con respecto a una clasificación por facies de las series o tramos de serie. El índice 103Sr/Ca puede tomarse como un indicador de medios ambientes en función de la energía. El índice de estroncio es pequeño en facies de aguas turbulentas y mucho mayor en facies de aguas tranquilas.

The Sr of the soluble fraction of 391 samples from the Middle Miocene in Alicante shows a negative correlation in comparison to .the coarse insoluble fraction of the same samples. Similarly, the 103 Sr/Ca distribution is inverse with regard to a classification according to the facies of the series or parts of the series. The 103Sr/Ca index can be taken as an indicator of the environment in relation to energy. The Sr index is small in the facies of turbulent water and much greater in quiet water.
