Abstract

El proyecto ha consistido en una investigación sobre las expectativas y las concepciones previas que posee el alumnado del Grado de Primaria de la Universidad de Alicante sobre la asignatura Didáctica de las Ciencias Sociales: Historia. Para ello se ha realizado una encuesta estructurada en cuatro bloques: sexo y estudios previos; utilidad de la Historia; formación en la materia y expectativas y concepción de la asignatura. Este instrumento ha permitido conocer qué espera el alumnado de la asignatura, así como cuáles son sus necesidades formativas y otros aspectos relacionados con la materia en cuestión. En este sentido, la importancia de este tipo de estudios reside en la información que proporciona a la hora de planificar programas de aprendizaje (Wittrock, 1990), al tiempo que son fundamentales para la toma de decisiones sobre el perfil del profesorado que se necesita en la escuela (Pagès, 2011). El análisis de la información recabada nos muestra unos resultados positivos en cuanto a la concepción y expectativas que el alumnado tiene sobre la materia y pone de manifiesto, a su vez, las carencias y necesidades formativas de los/las estudiantes.
