Abstract

Since the end of the 1990s, there have been significant changes in the Spanish migration scene. Among them it is important to highlight the arrival of new groups and the generalization of the immigration phenomena in regions and economic sectors which had not known foreign labour before. Among these new groups, we remark the Ecuadorians who have become the second most numerous group of foreigners in Spain and who are starting to compete with Moroccans in some areas. This situation is particularly noticeable in the agricultural regions of the Mediterranean littoral.

Ref.
