El sector pesquero es determinante para el desarrollo social y económico del Perú. La pesca costera y oceánica, la acuicultura, marina y de aguas continentales, tienen un buen potencial para su desarrollo; sin embargo, falta definir políticas y estrategias viables para cada pesquería o subsector. Es por ello, que en la presente investigación se utilizarán herramientas de análisis y evaluación para determinar la situación en el ambiente interno y externo; y las estrategias para potencializarlo. Adicionalmente, los criterios de análisis son en base a los conocimientos de los autores adquiridos en la investigación.
The fisheries sector is crucial for social and economic development of Peru. The coastal and oceanic fisheries, aquaculture, marine and inland water have good potential for development; however, need to define viable policies and strategies for each fishery or sub. Therefore, in the present investigation analysis and assessment tools will be used to determine the situation in the internal and external environment; and strategies for potencializarlo. Additionally, the screening criteria are based on the authors' knowledge, gained through research.
