¿Muchos migrantes o muchas migraciones?: las migraciones repetidas en España

Abstract

La emigración de los inmigrantes (reemigración) es una dimensión del fenómeno migratorio que ha recibido escasa atención en el caso español siendo, sin embargo, el responsable de una parte significativa del espectacular crecimiento que ha experimentado la tasa migratoria interior en los últimos años. En el trabajo se aborda el alcance de este fenómeno en nuestro país a lo largo del período 2003-2005, mediante la reconstrucción de las "vidas migratorias" de la población residente. Su análisis nos faculta para conocer las características más sobresalientes de los migrantes que repiten y, además, permite valorar la importancia de las falsas migraciones en la Estadística de Variaciones Residenciales. Al mismo tiempo, la cuantificación de la reemigración nos permite explicar parte de las diferencias entre el Censo 2001 y el Padrón Municipal en el cómputo de las migraciones a partir de las personas que realizan múltiples altas residenciales.
