The sequences of drought, a characteristic atmospheric event of the southeast Iberian lands due to its subtropical relation, constitute the climatic risk which produces the majority of economic losses in the agrarian activity of this peninsular area. The analysis of the atmospheric causes and the economic and territorial effects of this meteorological phenomenon are aspects which this paper breachs.
Las secuencias de sequía, evento atmosférico propio de las tierras del sureste ibérico por su filiación subtropical, se constituyen en el riesgo climático que ocasiona más pérdidas económicas en la actividad agraria de este sector peninsular. El análisis de las causas atmosféricas y de los efectos económicos y territoriales de este fenómeno meteorológico son aspectos que aborda el presente escrito.
