Dificultades conceptuales y cognitivas en el aprendizaje de los cambios de estado entre el alumnado de secundaria

Abstract

El aprendizaje de los cambios de estado en la educación secundaria presenta serias dificultades cuando este se transmite de forma expositiva y tradicional. En este trabajo hemos querido comprobar si se siguen presentando las mismas dificultades cuando el aprendizaje se realiza mediante la indagación y de una forma problematizada y contextualizada. Para ello se testeó los conocimientos que presentan al respecto 139 estudiantes de Educación Secundaria Obligatoria (ESO), 93 de ellos de 3º y 46 de 4º curso. A todos ellos se les preguntó por el nombre de los diferentes cambios de estado de agregación en una prueba inicial realizada en los primeros días de clase. Los estudiantes de 3º se presentaban a dicha prueba habiendo trabajado en cursos anteriores de forma transmisora el conocimiento, mientras que los de 4º lo hacen habiendo trabajado desde una metodología basada en la indagación de forma problematizada y contextualizada. Los resultados obtenidos vienen a confirmar que el conocimiento sobre los estados de agregación es mayor entre el alumnado que los ha trabajado mediante la indagación. Además se constata en ambos grupos, que se da un mejor aprendizaje de dichos conceptos cuando estos están contextualizados y les han sido presentados como retos, preguntas o problemas a superar, en vez de ser ofrecidos de forma descriptiva y como respuestas.
