Durante las excavaciones del barrio Universitario /Peri CA_4 de Cartagena salieron a luz los restos de una domus de época augustea con un destacado programa decorativo. El notable estado del conjunto propició su conservación en el sótano del edificio construido sobre ellos. A la espera de la puesta en valor del yacimiento, en el año 2023 se han acometido una serie de actuaciones destinadas a frenar el deterioro de las estructuras, tremendamente afectadas por diversos factores ambientales. El objetivo principal ha sido la conservación mediante la extracción en secciones de un pavimento musivo, así como diversos procesos de limpieza y consolidaciones de otras estructuras y revestimientos decorativos en riesgo.

During the excavations of the University district /Peri CA_4 in Cartagena, the remains of an Augustan domus with a remarkable decorative program came to light. The state of preservation led to its conservation in the basement of the building built over them. While waiting for the site to be put in value, in the year 2023 several actions were undertaken to stop the deterioration of the structures, which were tremendously affected by various environmental factors. The main objective has been the conservation through the extraction in sections of a mosaic pavement, as well as various cleaning and consolidation processes of other structures and decorative coatings at risk.
