Desarrollo de un USV para trabajos costeros

Abstract

A USV (Uncrewed Surface Vessel or Unmanned Surface Vehicle) is a robotic vehicle that navigates remotely from the coast without a crew. The development and testing of a catamaran-type platform is described in the work Ronda et al. (2023a). In the first phase, navigation is controlled with a remote control controlling two thrusters. Coordinates and depth are captured and recorded, using GPS and echo sounder and, at the same time, the data is released via Bluetooth to the operations base. A second phase implements the representation of the navigation course on a laptop computer receiving the coordinates by radio frequency (433MHz). Navigation lights and protective grilles are incorporated surrounding the thrusters described in Ronda et al. (2023b). In the last phase solar panels are installed as energy support and to be able to recover the USV, a frontal video camera and another underwater one are incorporated, being displayed on a monitor, by radio frequency at 5 GHz. Finally, the old Furuno single-beam sonar is replaced by a more complete Lowrance 3 in 1. It has WIFI, which is used as a screen cloner and remote control, all through an Android device with its application. It is a prototype in continuous evolution that is subject to the incorporation of new sensors.
