Abstract

Este proyecto se ha enfocado en el desarrollo de un dispositivo destinado a mejorar la calidad de vida de las personas con deficiencias visuales, proporcionándoles herramientas para facilitar sus actividades diarias. El dispositivo consiste en una Raspberry Pi equipada con una pantalla y una cámara integrada. En este dispositivo se ha incluido una aplicación que captura imágenes en tiempo real, las cuales son enviadas a un servidor para su procesamiento. Una vez procesadas, las imágenes son devueltas a la Raspberry Pi y se muestran en la pantalla para el usuario. La aplicación incluye funcionalidades diseñadas para proporcionar asistencia a las personas con deficiencias visuales, especialmente en entornos educativos. Entre estas funcionalidades, se destaca un sistema de detección de pizarras en entornos de aula, donde independientemente de su ubicación, la imagen de la pizarra se muestra en la pantalla con zoom y escala ajustada para garantizar una visualización óptima. Se emplea un zoom inteligente que preserva la calidad de la imagen. Adicionalmente, la aplicación ofrece ajustes de accesibilidad que permiten al usuario modificar el filtro para daltonismo y ajustar el contraste de la imagen, adaptando así la interfaz a sus necesidades visuales específicas.
