Algunas demostraciones de electromagnetismo en vídeo

Abstract

En el presente trabajo se muestran algunos resultados de dos proyectos de innovación educativa realizados en la Universidad de Alicante sobre la generación, en formato vídeo, de material docente sobre demostraciones y prácticas de laboratorio de Física. Se dispone de un laboratorio virtual pero formado por grabaciones de prácticas reales, no simulaciones. Los vídeos generados se han exportado a diversos formatos incluyendo CD, DVD o archivos mpg4 para iPods, además de haberse incluido en un portal de Internet en el que es posible visualizar cada uno de los vídeos mediante viedostreaming, sin necesidad de descargarlos. Se han considerado dos tipo de experiencias, las tradicionalmente denominadas demostraciones o experiencias de cátedra y otras que constituyen auténticas prácticas de laboratorio en las que los estudiantes tienen que tomar datos y obtener resultados. Del conjunto de películas disponible en este trabajo se pone énfasis en aquéllas correspondientes al electromagnetismo, con vídeos sobre las interacciones entre imanes, la experiencia de Oersted, las acciones entre corrientes, el campo magnético de un solenoide y la ley de Faraday-Henry.

This paper shows some results related to two different educative innovation projects carried out at the University of Alicante. The projects consisted in the production of video teaching material on Physics lecture practical demonstrations and laboratory experiments. This virtual laboratory includes real experiments and demonstrations, not computer simulations. The generated videos were converted into different formats, including CD, DVD, mpeg4 files for iPods and were also inserted in a web application accessible via internet. In this web application the different videos can be visualized on-line using video-streaming techniques, without downloading them. Two different types of experiences were considered: the traditionally called “lecture practical demonstrations” and the real laboratory experiments, where the students must write down data and obtain results. Among the set of available videos, this paper focuses on the experiments and demonstrations dealing with Electromagnetism, in particular magnet interactions, Oersted´s Experiment, electric current interactions, solenoid magnetic field, and Faraday-Henry Law.
