Reutilización de datos catastrales para estudios urbanos

Abstract

Las Infraestructuras de Datos Espaciales (IDE) nacionales y autonómicos son proveedores de datos espaciales que pueden ser reutilizados de forma gratuita por los usuarios, ya sea con fines educativos, de investigación o profesionales. Una fuente de información muy útil para los estudios territoriales y urbanos es la que aporta la Sede Electrónica del Catastro, que incluye datos sobre el parque edificado tanto en zonas urbanas como rústicas. Aunque esta información es de libre acceso, se le da poco uso debido a la dificultad técnica existente para explotar los datos, ya que requieren de ciertos conocimientos sobre la estructura de los datos catastrales y conocer qué información se puede extraer de ellos. Se propone desarrollar una metodología que permite recuperar la información catastral para su reutilización en estudios urbanos y territoriales. De esta manera será posible caracterizar el parque edificado con un elevado nivel de detalle, cuantificando a la escala de edificio diversos parámetros. Esta información es de vital importancia para los estudios urbanos, permitiendo conocer cómo se distribuye espacialmente el parque edificado. Para esta investigación se expone una aplicación práctica donde se recuperan datos catastrales para su utilización en el cálculo de indicadores urbanos que permitan caracterizar el parque edificado, así como un ejemplo en la estimación de la distribución poblacional a partir de datos catastrales.
