Abstract

This work presents the taphonomical study of leporids remains from level 9d of Sima del Elefante site (Sierra de Atapuerca). The representation and anatomical frequency of leporids in the sample and the analyses of bone surface modifications by binocular magnifier (Euromex WF10x22) and, by digital microscope (HIROX KH8700), has allowed us to identify what was the predator or postdepositional agent that acted and accumulated the remains of leporid in Sima del Elefante site 1.2 Ma ago.
