Foraminíferos bentónicos del Plioceno en el sector de Crevillente-Elche

Abstract

En este trabajo se han analizado las asociaciones de foraminíferos bentónicos del Plioceno Inferior en el sector de Crevillente-Elche, localizado en el borde norte de la Cuenca del Bajo Segura. Los géneros analizados de foraminíferos bentónicos han sido agrupados en tres grupos paleoecológicos, que junto con los datos sedimentológicos han permitido establecer la interpretación paleoambiental y secuencial durante el Plioceno Inferior en este sector.

Este trabajo ha sido realizado en el marco de los proyectos de investigación BTE 2003-05047 (Ministerio de Ciencia y Tecnología). GV04B-629 (Generalitat Valenciana) y del grupo de investigación GRUPOS03/085 (Generalitat Valenciana).
