Optimización energética en bombeo de aguas subterráneas

Abstract

La gestión de los acuíferos, especialmente en el abastecimiento urbano es una tarea muy compleja, dada la gran cantidad de elementos de control que pueden llegar a intervenir para su correcto funcionamiento y a la rapidez necesaria para resolver cualquier anomalía que pueda afectar la garantía del abastecimiento. Sin embargo, en la actualidad, gracias a los avances tecnológicos, se dispone disponen de sistemas de control que permiten a los gestores y operadores controlar el régimen de operación de las infraestructuras de abastecimiento, así como monitorizar el estado en tiempo real de éstas a través de sistemas de control, adquisición y análisis de datos (SCADA). Además, también permiten una mejor planificación de futuras infraestructuras hidráulicas de cara a optimizar y a aumentar la garantía de abastecimiento, aspecto muy importante, especialmente en zonas como Alicante, con escasez hídrica estructural. Dentro de la optimización, cada vez cobra más importancia para lograr la sostenibilidad la optimización energética de las elevaciones de agua, en especial los pozos de bombeo de aguas subterráneas. En el presente trabajo se explican casos reales de optimización energética realizados por el Área de Ciclo Hídrico de la Diputación de Alicante en los pozos de los municipios cuyo abastecimiento asesora.
