Convencido del Aprendizaje Basado en Proyectos, ¿por dónde empiezo?

Abstract

Existen muchas iniciativas de Aprendizaje Basado en Proyectos y casi todos sus autores coinciden en las ventajas de esta metodología. Sin embargo, también es casi unánime la dificultad que encuentran al acometer un cambio de paradigma de esta naturaleza. Tras más de diez años utilizando el Aprendizaje Basado en Proyectos y habiendo presentado nuestro modelo de cursos en anteriores jornadas, ahora presentamos MIA, una Metodología de Implantación de un curso de Aprendizaje Basado en Proyectos que hemos construido a partir de nuestra experiencia, con dos características principales: que sea práctica y que sea ordenada. La metodología propuesta es iterativa, basada en la espiral de mejora continua. La principal aportación es una herramienta que denominamos Plan de Acción que, en forma de diagrama de flujo, guía el proceso de creación del proyecto y su puesta en marcha, dando como resultado una planificación casi automática del curso basado en proyectos.

There are many Project Based Learning initiatives and almost all the authors agree on the advantages of this methodology. However, the difficulty of undertaking such a paradigm shift is also almost unanimous. After more than ten years using Project Based Learning and having presented our course model in previous conferences, we now present MIA, a methodology for implementing a Project Based Learning course that we have built up from our experience, with two main characteristics: that it be practical and that it be ordered. The proposed methodology is iterative, based on the spiral of continuous improvement. The main contribution is a tool that we call Action Plan that, in the form of a flow chart, guides the process of creating the project and its implementation, resulting in an almost automatic planning of the project-based course.
