Abstract

During the recording of a diffraction grating in a photopolymer sensitized with yellowish eosin, the diffraction efficiency versus energetic exposure curve has an approximately linear zone. In some recordings it can be seen deviations to linear evolution. One of these deviations which has been very little-studied is when the curve has a relative maximum lower than the maximum diffraction efficiency and with lower energetic exposure. In this work we analyze several explanations to this situation which are related to light diffusion and molecular species diffusion in photopolymer layer.
