Abstract

La presente tesis parte de la idea de realizar una lectura crítica de la obra poética de seis poetas ecuatorianos que inauguran su escritura creativa en el siglo XX y se proyectan hacia el XXI: Iván Carvajal, Sara Vanégas, Roy Sigüenza, Mario Campaña, Paco Benavides y Pedro Gil. Ellos constituyen un segmento representativo de la lírica contemporánea nacional, y queremos revisar sus poéticas en el panorama del Ecuador de las últimas 4 décadas. La investigación estudia su configuración estética, y tiene como objetivo principal analizar propuestas que comparten determinada problematización a la hora de encarar la palabra y una perspectiva en cuanto a la resolución de su poesía, desde elementos como la tradición, la actitud metapoética, el exilio y la reescritura. Desde este sentido, participan de una paideuma común, esto es, de un ámbito de traducción y recuperación de una hornada anterior de voces poéticas (una genealogía compartida). El trabajo rastrea y se remite al corpus retórico compuesto por dichos autores, su papel reflexivo acerca de la representación del mundo debido al poema y la pertinente glosa por parte de la crítica. Esta investigación articula en sendos capítulos la obra de los poetas, y revisa una incidencia significativa del debate de las nociones de lo local y lo universal, así como su conexión histórica y cultural.
