Trayecto en la niebla del cine negro español

Abstract

El cine negro es casi inexistente en la producción cinematográfica española desde 1950, en que Brigada criminal inauguró el género policíaco sin ambages. El realismo, la denuncia y la crítica social y política no encajan bajo una dictadura como la franquista. La ausencia de tradición entre los productores y la falta de verosimilitud en las narraciones hicieron el resto. En este contexto, durante más de setenta años, la relación entre el cine negro-criminal español y la novela negra autóctona ha sido escasa. Autores como Tomás Salvador, Manuel Vázquez Montalbán, Manuel de Pedrolo, Carlos Pérez Merinero, Juan Madrid, Andreu Martín o Antonio Muñoz Molina (también Georges Simenon o Friedrich Dürrenmatt) han visto sus novelas reflejadas en la pantalla, con mayor o menor fortuna, mientras los cineastas más consecuentes (Pedro Costa, Vicente Aranda, Enrique Urbizu...) apenas han podido (o pueden) cultivar el género con regularidad. Este es el trayecto: cine policíaco franquista, delincuentes quinquis y destape ensangrentado durante la transición, thrillers posmodernos en democracia, contornos de lo criminal con un toque de fantasía inexplicable... hasta llegar a las actuales películas criminales realistas que crecen como flores en el desierto.
