The critical review of the inscription dedicated to Augusta Trebaruna by M. Fidius Macer in Capera (Oliva de Plasencia, Cáceres) allows us to consider different interesting questions. The most relevant is the use of the epithet Augustus for the worship of a local divinity, something rare in Hispania. We consider that this meant the officialization of local gods and its inclusion in the Roman pantheon.
