Actividades de coordinación del Grado de Arquitectura Técnica y Fundamentos de la Arquitectura: Concurso de Estructuras

Abstract

La organización del Concurso de Estructuras, actualmente en su decimoctava edición, es realizada por los profesores del Área de Mecánica de los Medios Continuos y Teoría de las Estructuras del Departamento de Ingeniería Civil (DIC). El contexto de esta actividad se dirige a todos los estudiantes de Grado, Máster y Doctorado que estén directamente relacionados en el ámbito del Cálculo de Estructuras de la Universidad de Alicante. Se espera una participación de 50 estudiantes lo que sería un dato muy superior y satisfactorio al de ediciones anteriores. Mediante la implementación del concurso de estructuras se busca paliar en parte las dificultades metodológicas detectadas, así como su coherencia. Además, el Concurso de Estructuras trata de motivar al estudiante en el ámbito del conocimiento de las estructuras como elementos resistentes. Asimismo, el estudiante puede valorar la importancia de las estructuras en el mundo profesional, tanto en la fase de diseño como en el de su construcción.
