La sequía edáfica en la cuenca del Duero

Abstract

Las sequías, y sobre todo las más prolongadas, tienen su incidencia más directa en los recursos hídricos, ya que la precipitación es la fuente de las entradas en el sistema hidrológico. Uno de los subsistemas más sensibles a dicha incidencia es el suelo, o dicho de manera más precisa, el continuum suelo-agua-planta-atmósfera. Los autores repasan la disponibilidad de agua en los distintos tipos de suelo de la Cuenca del Duero y el contraste entre la sequía climática y edáfica. De los resultados obtenidos concluyen que el aumento de aridez previsto en Europa meridional implicará un déficit hídrico más acusado.
