Ansiedad escolar en el ámbito universitario. Diferencias de curso académico

Abstract

El objetivo principal de este estudio es evaluar qué situaciones generan mayor ansiedad escolar en el alumnado universitario. Asimismo, se pretende comprobar si existen diferencias estadísticamente significativas en ansiedad escolar en población universitaria atendiendo al curso académico de los alumnos. Los participantes fueron 962 estudiantes universitarios. La edad de los participantes osciló entre los 18 y 47 años. Se les administró de forma colectiva el Inventario de Ansiedad Escolar y se recogieron datos sociodemográficos de la muestra (edad y curso académico). Los resultados mostraron como las situaciones referidas a la Ansiedad ante el Fracaso presentaron las medias más elevadas en la muestra total. Con respecto a las diferencias por curso se hallaron diferencias estadísticamente significativas en el factor Ansiedad ante el Fracaso entre 1º y 3º curso y entre 3º y 4º curso. En el factor Ansiedad ante la Evaluación Social se hallaron diferencias entre 1º y 4º curso. No se hallaron diferencias estadísticamente significativas en el factor Ansiedad ante la Agresión. Con respecto a los sistemas de respuesta se hallaron diferencias estadísticamente significativas en Ansiedad Conductual entre 1º y 4º curso. El presente estudio pone de relieve una problemática presente en las aulas universitarias y que ha sido desatendida a pesar de las graves repercusiones emocionales, sociales y académicas que conlleva.
