Optimización de la red de reactores de una planta de producción de amoniaco

Abstract

Uno de los aspectos más significativos en la industria química es el beneficio económico generado, especialmente para procesos con un gran volumen de negocio como la síntesis de amoniaco, compuesto químico de importancia capital para la sociedad. Partiendo de unas condiciones iniciales del proceso, en este trabajo se ha tratado el estudio de la sección de síntesis de amoniaco con el fin de minimizar su coste económico a partir de la razón de separación de la corriente de entrada. Para ello, se han empleado conjuntamente el simulador de procesos Aspen HYSYS y el programa de análisis matemático MATLAB para resolver un problema de optimización no lineal aplicado al proceso químico. Con el fin de dotar de una mayor rigurosidad al trabajo, se ha planteado un fundamento teórico previo a la optimización que permite profundizar en el entendimiento del proceso, pudiendo obtener mejores resultados en consecuencia al eliminar varias simplificaciones del caso inicialmente considerado. El estudio de la razón de separación ha permitido observar su influencia en el coste económico estimado, además de confirmar varios aspectos comentados en el fundamento teórico, si bien se han observado dificultades a la hora de trasladar el planteamiento inicial a un proceso más cercano a la realidad.
