Mellom relasjon og refleksjon

Abstract

Studien er en semistrukturert kvalitativ intervjuundersøkelse basert på en fenomenologisk og hermeneutisk vitenskapstradisjon og metode. Problemstillingen som søkes belyst er hvilke profesjonell utvikling som fysioterapeuter med kompetanse i psykomotorisk fysioterapi gjennomgår etter endt utdanning i fagfeltet. Den fokuserer på hvilke faktorer som har bidratt til profesjonell utvikling og vekst. Tre erfarne psykomotorikere med lang erfaring i privat praksis har blitt intervjuet. Hovedfunnene fra undersøkelsen viser at interpersonlige faktorer har hatt størst betydning for deres profesjonelle utvikling og vekst, spesielt erfaring fra arbeid med pasienter og kontakt med kollegaer. Privat praksis utgjør,i følge informantene, en utilstrekkelig ramme for profesjonell utvikling for psykomotorikerene som har krevende arbeid med belastede pasienter. De ytrer et savn etter mer veiledning og mer tverrfaglig arbeid. Behovet for å ytterligere løfte fram disse spørsmål i fagmiljøet og i videre studier påpekes.
