Abstract

Resyme Introduksjon og bakgrunn: Tidlig intervensjon ved psykoselidelser er viktig for pasientens prognose. Her har fastlegene som en del av primærhelsetjenesten en viktig rolle for å identifisere og behandle psykoser. Oppgaven har derfor tatt for seg i hvilken grad fastlegene støter på de positive- eller negative symptomene, både seg i mellom og sett i forhold til legenes erfaring. Teori - psykoser: Psykose som begrep er beskrevet og definert på ulike måter i litteraturen og studier. Dette gjør det til en stor utfordring å forstå sykdommen. Metode: En spørreundersøkelse ble utført blant de 222 fastlegene i Nordland. Av disse svarte 50 på spørreskjemaet. Dette inneholdt spørsmål som omhandlet diagnostiseringsmønstre, holdninger og behandling av begynnende psykoser. Data fra diagnostiseringsmønstrene ble behandlet i denne oppgaven. Resultater/diskusjon: 38 av 50 fastleger støtte på de positive symptomene vrangforestillinger og hallusinasjoner. Ca 10% av de minst erfarne fastlegene støtte på flere positive symptomer i forhold til dem med mer erfaring. De negative symptomene ble støtt på i like stor grad uavhengig av erfaringen. Konklusjon: Det er lite som skiller hvilke av de to positive- og negative symptomgruppene fastlegene støter på i begynnelsen av en psykose. Legenes erfaring viser en tendens til å påvirke antall positive symptomer de støter på. Den påvirker imidlertid ikke antall negative symptomer de støter på.
