Abstract

I dette masterprosjketet har problemstillinga vore ”Korleis ein kan få elevar til å utøva kritisk literacy med å arbeida med språkleg medvit”. I tillegg har eg stilt forskingsspørsmålet: ”Kva slags utfordringar møter elevar når dei skal utøva kriktisk literacy”. Eg har gjennomført eit undervisningsopplegg i ein 9. klasse kor me arbeida med omgrepa konnotasjon og denotasjon. Elevane skreiv på slutten av undervisningsopplegget ein analyse, som er ein del av min empiri. Metodane eg har brukt er observasjon og semistrukturert intervju med tre elevar. Resultata i undersøkelsen visar at kompetansen kritisk literacy krevar at ein som lærar har eit fokus på å vera eksplisitt i undervisninga om kritisk lesing, og at modellering av kritisk tenking er til fordel for elevane. I tillegg kan det også vera hensiktsmessig å haeit fokus på språkleg medvit når ein skal læra elevar å utæva kritisk literacy. Eg har også sett at elevane har utfordringar med å vera objektiv når dei skal vurdera tekstar kritisk. Empirien tydar på at det er ein utfordring å finna alternative posisjonar i tekstar og at elevane lesar tekstane med liten distanse.
