Abstract

Dit rapport beschrijft de ontwikkeling van een analyseprocedure voor de gelijktijdige bepaling van de herbiciden cyanazin, bentazon en diens twee metabolieten 6- en 8-hydroxy-bentazon, met behulp van HPLC. De methode is toegepast voor de bepaling van deze componenten in suikermais. Tijdens het onderzoek bleek dat, bij toevoeging van de hydroxy-bentazon verbindingen aan maisextract, geen opbrengst verkregen kan worden, vermoedelijk door snelle omzetting o.i.v. matrixcomponenten. De opbrengsten voor bentazon en cyanazin waren wel goed (>90% bij toevoegingen van 0,1 mg/kg). De aantoonbaarheidsgrenzen voor bentazon en cyanazin waren 0,02 mg/kg. In veldproeven behandelde monsters suikermais werden door ons onderzocht op de aanwezigheid van beide herbiciden. In geen van de onderzochte monsters kon een der betrokken componenten worden aangetoond.
