El presente trabajo tiene como objeto de estudio la regulación del concurso de acreedores en la obra maestra de dos grandes juristas españoles del siglo XVIII, don Ignacio Jordán de Asso y del Río y don Miguel de Manuel y Rodríguez, autores del primer manual universitario reconocido oficialmente, sus Instituciones de Derecho real de Castilla, publicada por primera vez en 1771. Tomando como base la legislación castellana, contenida en la Nueva Recopilación y en las Partidas, así como la obra de Salgado de Somoza, explicaron con detenimiento tan complicada institución como es el concurso de acreedores.
The present work takes as an object of study the regulation of the creditors' contest in the masterpiece of two big Spanish jurists of the 18th century, don Ignacio Jordán de Asso y del Rio and don Miguel de Manuel y Rodríguez, authors of the first university manual recognized officially, his Instituciones de Derecho real de Castilla, published by the first time in 1771. Taking as a base the Castilian legislation contained in the New Summary and in the Items, as well as Salgado de Somoza's work, they made clear thoroughly so complicated institution since it is the creditors' contest.
