Abstract

In 1999 began the boom of Ecuadorian emigration in Spain. In these passed years, the Ecuadorian colony has Consolidated as the second one in importance, after the Moroccan, and is the first one in number considering the Latin American countries. This phenomenon tends to be greater: in two years the process of «familiar regrouping» will begin. It means that ¿at least¿ the number of Ecuadorian will be duplicated. Spain and Ecuador are mutually interested, in the beginnings of XXI century, because of the deep economical, political, social and human transformations, that the emigration implies. It causes that the bilateral relations between both countries become greater and more important every time. This analysis states that the subjects of the Hispanic-Ecuadorian bilateral agenda are just defined in their basic terms but, facing the new reality, they would have to be reformulated in order to be filled with more concrete contents.
