Este texto indaga sobre el origen, formación y aplicación del desarrollismo en Argentina, teniendo como eje la etapa del post peronismo y la presidencia de Arturo Frondizi. Profundiza sobre las características doctrinales de este pensamiento y los aspectos distintivos del caso argentino. Ofrece una visión de los hechos que marcaron el ascenso de Frondizi ¿en 1958- y las relaciones de poder predominantes en la sociedad. Indaga sobre las causas que motivaron el auge del paradigma desarrollista y los conflictos que impidieron ¿más que permitieron- el surgimiento de esta corriente como una instancia renovadora de la política nacional. El trabajo se divide en 7 secciones que comprenden una introducción general, la situación del desarrollismo en el contexto nacional, sus fundamentos teóricos, los antecedentes histórico/políticos, sus hitos doctrinarios y su aporte a la idea de democracia. En este sentido, profundiza sobre el debate acerca del desarrollo económico en Argentina y, siguiendo el clima de ideas de la época, sobre la relación existente entre crecimiento, democracia y estabilidad social.

Abstract: This paper investigates the origin, formation and implementation of developmentalism in Argentina, regarding the post-Peronism stage, and the presidency of Arturo Frondizi. It focuses on the doctrinal aspects and the particular features of the Argentine case. In this sense, offers a vision of the events that marked the rise of Frondizi -in 1958- and the power relations that prevailed in the Argentine society. Inquires about the reasons for the rise of the developmental paradigm and the conflicts that prevented (rather than helped) the emergence of an innovative phase in the national politics. The work is divided into 7 sections which include a general introduction, the situation of the desarrollismo in the national context, its theoretical foundations, the historical background, the doctrinal milestones, and its contribution to the idea of democracy. In this sense, delves on the basis of economic development and -regarding the climate of ideas at the time- on the relationship between growth, democracy and social stability.
